Akona training centre provides a gateway into the security industry. On completion of our training courses, learners will have the qualifications and certifications to become employed within the security industry. In all cases after completing training, learners will be able to apply for their Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence.
Our training team is made up of predominately former Police, Armed forces and UK Special forces personnel who bring with them a mix of operational expertise and professional qualifications to the design and delivery of our courses.

Overview of the Course
If you are looking for a career in Close Protection then this course is for you. Our Level 3 Close Protection course provides a complete package of CP core skills through classroom and practical training, threat & risk assessments, surveillance skills, vehicle techniques, use of technical assets, foot & body protection and IED search awareness and interpersonal skills training. The rigorous course will provide the necessary skills to qualify individuals to apply for your SIA license which will enable them to operate in the security industry.
There are two delivery models available to potential learners wishing to attend the Close protection course. We offer a 24 hours delivery approach which is aimed at individuals that can provide (RPL) recognised prior learning and experience of Close Protection operations. Alternatively, novices to the industry will be required to attend the 150 guided learning hours training course, in which the detailed course can be found below.

Overview of the Course
If you are looking for a career or different pathway in the security industry, as a Close Circuit Television Operator then this course is for you. Our Level 2 CCTV Operators (Public Spaces Surveillance) course provides a complete operational package of the security core skills through classroom and practical training over 32 guided learning hours. This course will provide the necessary skills to qualify you to undertake security CCTV operations and will allow you to apply for your SIA license which will enable you to operate in the security industry.

Our Level 2 Security Officers course provides a complete package of the necessary core skills in security manned guarding. This course his delivered through classroom and practical training sessions, that combines all of the skills required in dealing with safety, security emergency and customer service issues surrounding security operations. The course will provide the necessary skills to qualify individuals to apply for your SIA license which will enable them to operate in the security industry.
