Rail Training
Akona recognises that there is an increasing demand for the training and qualifying of a range of OLE, Site Design & Overhead line engineers & Rail Safety Critical operatives for the multiple high-speed rail and metro projects in the UK and aboard.

Security Training
Akona training centre provides a gateway into the security industry. On completion of our training courses, learners will have the qualification and certification to become employed within the security industry. In all cases after completing training, learners will be able to apply for their Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence.

Akona Training Centre provides many pathways into the events industry. On completion of our accredited training courses, learners will have the qualification and certification to become employed within the industry. These training courses are delivered at all levels and are aimed to raise crowd safety awareness and address emergency and security issues for those personnel involved in low or high profile events.

Akona is an approved National Skills Academy Rail (NSAR) & Network Rail provider, specialising in Overhead Lines Systems, safety critical training and railway programmes. Since 2012, the company has delivered industry Overhead Line System courses that meet to national and international standards. The training courses in OLE construction & maintenance have been delivered to many UK ‘Principal Contractors’ companies including ATC Crossrail (CRL), Transport for London (TfL), Rail for London Infrastructure (RFLI), Balfour Beatty UK and USA, Amey, Volker Rail and SPL (Germany).
